The Health Research Consent Declaration Committee (HRCDC) was established as part of the Health Research Regulations made under the Data Protection Act, 2018.
The Health Research Regulations 2018 and the HRCDC aim to bring trust and transparency to the forefront of health research in relation to the processing of personal data. This benefits all those involved in research and ensures patient and public trust in the health research environment in Ireland.
